Currently :: March 2016

A new month means that it’s time for another Currently.

March’s prompts from Anne and Jenna are: wishing, craving, going, wearing, and learning.

Currently Choosing Happy‘s prompts are: wishing, exploring, loving, craving, and going.

wishing (both)
I don’t really wish, I tend to be a go getter and make plans so that my wants become haves.
If I had to wish, it’d be that a family member hit the lotto and decided to pay off our debt for us…

craving (both)
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory access. I always spend at least $50 on chocolate when we go between truffles and fudge.
But dude, it’s some amazingness in your mouth. Plus it’s a comfort thing since there is a factory in my hometown so it was always there. (And part of why I am fat, lmfao.)

MilMOPsgoing (both)
To MOPs now! Yay! We’ve been so focused on paying down debt and being frugal I’d kind of gotten locked into a unexpected house arrest. The kids were esctatic to see other faces (except Van, he was unhappy to be left in the nursery. I ended up getting him about halfway through the meeting but that’s ok.)
I am sad to say I have become that crazy *LETSBEFRIENDSK?!?” person.

Pajamas for days, literally. I have been out of the house a total of maybe 11 times in 2016.
Nothing wrong with that, but it doesn’t make me want to wear real clothes when no one is here to judge me for my elastic waistline pants.

  • A ton about blogging, and marketing, and social media, and content creation.
  • How much my children will do to get out of cleaning up their messes. (It can really take all day to clean up a kid’s room that only contains a bed, 2 dozen toys and a 20 piece wardrobe; did you know that?)
  • How much my thinking and outlook has changed about things. The CPU fan on my desktop died last night; and the old me would have been *ALL* over upgrading the thing, since I originally built it approximately 4.5 years ago; and it’s not the fastest thing on the block any more. But I just ordered a $30 replacement fan instead so that we can focus that money on the debt situation. (One track mind maybe?)

The idea that possibly, just maybe; this blog will go somewhere. I don’t want to make a gazillion dollars, but supporting the family, that’d be pretty cool. Ry is getting on board too, and will start writing some posts occasionally soon.

My husband’s amazing gift for being a father. He is so wonderful with the kids, and picks up all my slack (and there is more than there should be). I still don’t understand why he chose me, and how I ended up being lucky enough to wake up next to him every day.
