A unit all about fall ya’ll. Corn, pumpkins, apples, and leaves, worksheets, experiments, and treats.
Fall is my favorite season. All the bugs die off, the leaves are so many different colors, and it finally cools off again. Plus there’s pumpkins, apples, and Halloween! We want to learn continuously as we are still in that phase that everything is so interesting. Here are a few things we are planning for this month:

How a SAHM can earn Christmas Money

How a SAHM can earn Christmas Money

It’s not always possible for a SAHM to work outside the home, but with Christmas coming up, not every family has the extra cash needed for the craziness that can be the holiday season.
This list is not exhaustive, and considering how many times some of these have been suggested by others, they must be true, however, there might be a hidden nugget listed below that you haven’t been explored yet.

Currently :: October 2016

Currently

A new month means that it’s time for another Currently. Month’s prompts from Anne are: cheers-ing, organizing, dreaming, buying, and listening.
I am going to join in on Gretchen and Kristin‘s link up called “What’s New With You?” which is more or less the same concept as ‘Currently’. Their prompts are more of a status check-in which will be good for accountability for me.

Underchin Exercises

Underchin Exercises - Get rid of your double chin and turkey neck.

I have a turkey neck. It’s genetic. Even when I was a thin teenager I had that chin sag. Now that I’ve gained a bit of weight (oops, pregnancies and depression sure don’t help with that.) it’s gotten to the point that it’s gross.

These are simple and they’ll help you eliminate the problem while strengthening your jaw, neck, and chin muscles. You can perform the following exercises every day, at any time you find convenient. Make sure to relax your chin and mouth muscles before and after every exercise. You can do that by opening and closing your mouth gently, which will loosen the jaw.

Child-Free isn’t a slap in the Face…

Moms need female friends; and Child-Free can be the best kind...

Why Moms shouldn’t shame Child Free Women, but instead Embrace them as Friends

I have a few friends that want nothing to do with motherhood. And that is awesome. Everything in life is a choice, and reproducing is one of those choices. Being a mother is one of my favorite things in my experience. I LOVE everything (well, mostly, haha) about being a mom. I love being pregnant, the birthing process, and most especially shaping these blessings into a person that will improve the world.

Daily Blog Post Themes

Daily Blog Post Themes

Sometimes my writing stalls. Ok, who am I kidding, I stall out all the time. Especially since moving almost all my recipes to Dimpled Kitchen, which cut a lot of out of what I was planning on writing here. I am slowly getting back into the personal side of blogging, and sharing (safely) parts of our lives, hoping to help others going through or about to go through some of the same things.

The ideas below are here to help break through writers block, and maybe make it easier to link up to Blog Hops to gain more exposure and interact with other bloggers.

The Circle :: September 2016

The Circle is a monthly link-up that was born with dreams of creating a place for bloggers to get to know one another just a little bit better and to make new friends. Hosted by Kiki at ‘In It’s Time‘ on the third Wednesday of each month. This monthly link-up is a place for bloggers to share and write on a fun, light-hearted (or possibly heavy-hearted) topics.

While Kiki has decided to discontinue hosting the linkup; I like the concept, so will be using a list of blog post prompts to continue the tradition.

This month’s prompt is: If you had a personal assistant who would do your most dreaded tasks, which items from your to-do list would you assign out?

Linkups; What are They?

What's a Blog Hop? Blogging 101 {By an Amateur}

A link party is when a blog that usually has a good amount of traffic hosts an event in which other bloggers are invited to post a link to a blog post they would like featured. The typical Blog Hop (aka Link Party, Linky Party, Link up Party, Blog Link Party, Blog Carnival) is fun a way to discover and follow blogs, as well as promote your own. On a regular basis the host poses a topic, active blogging members discuss it, and then link to their posts.
Some hosts will offer an email reminder list (automatically, or as an opt-in feature) so that you will reminded each week, and know when the party goes live (aka, when the post is published). A great way to get your best blog posts in front of new readers is to participate in link parties.

I am not an expert. But I have been around the blogging scene for some time now. And I’d like to share some of my mistakes and lessons learned for the new bloggers. (Although I think some of you are way past me already, I still need content for my own site, and possibly this post will help somebody, haha.)

Military Spouse Appreciation Day

The Prayer of the Airman’s Wife

Make clear my airman’s path of victory,
That it is sure and swift.
Grant him strength of spirit and body,
That he may defeat each enemy.
Give him vision to see his duty,
That it is done as it should be.
And grant him comfort and peace,
That he may know his work is just.

But most of all, Lord, keep him safe,
That he may soon return –
To the family, country, and freedom
That his courage protects.

God bless America and
God bless my Airman!

Natural Deodorant 101

#A2Z Challenge - Natural Deodorants

Deodorants and antiperspirants are used by about 90% of the US population to improve body odor and prevent sweating. Unfortunately, the hidden truth is that deodorants and antiperspirants actually contain harmful chemicals that are toxic to our bodies. Your personal body odor is determined by your diet, your hormones, your genetics, your lifestyle, your mood, your wardrobe… etc. But that doesn’t mean you have to be anything less than sweetly scented. There are all kinds of healthier natural deodorants that work best at keeping you fresh as a daisy.
