It’s not always possible for a SAHM to work outside the home, but with Christmas coming up, not every family has the extra cash needed for the craziness that can be the holiday season. This list is not exhaustive, and considering how many times some of these have been suggested by others, they must be true, however, there might be a hidden nugget listed below that you haven’t been explored yet. (more…)
And our third installment in baby gear is here! Toddlerhood is a very trying season, and these items can help lessen some of the stress.
For the want of a nail, the shoe was lost; for the want of a shoe the horse was lost; and for the want of a horse the rider was lost, being overtaken and slain by the enemy, all for the want of care about a horseshoe nail. — Benjamin Franklin
How I broke down my lists: Pregnancy (duh) Newborn (0-2mos) Baby/Infant (2-12Mos) Toddler (12-24mos) Preschooler (2-4years) ** some preemies might be better categorized based on their “adjusted age”.
Potty training starts in this period, along with major communication skills, annnnnnndddd…… the dreaded teething!(Keep in mind, each item is going to have a referral link, which just means that at no cost to you, you can help support the blog! Yay!)
Sigh; the bane of every SAHM’s day would be the shows their kids get attached to. Most of Jam’s don’t bother me, but Cailou is a love/hate thing. I feel that he has taught a lot of good things (beig kind to others, sharing, kindess to animals, being the big brother, etc) but sometimes the twinge of Cailou’s voice is just not bearable…
Today he was watching on PBS, and they made Pizza’s with the twins, which inspired tonight’s dinner:
Jam turns 5 today; OMG, how did that flipping happen?!? He is growing into such an amazing man, and I am so blessed to be able to watch him grow and change every day. 😥
Since we are about to move (YAY! FINALLY!!) We decided to skip the party this year (being 9 months preggo helps with that too, lol) and go camping! He’s never really been before so we are all super excited for it. Of course, since he’s the special guest, he gets to choose the meal on his actual day, and being a 5 year old boy, he wants cake and pizza, lol.
I have a very Irish background, but am a true American mutt in which I can’t truly claim any one heritage as my one true heritage. However, when I must choose one, it’s usually Irish, they have the beer, temperament and strength that Imost identify with.
