The Circle :: September 2016

The Circle is a monthly link-up that was born with dreams of creating a place for bloggers to get to know one another just a little bit better and to make new friends. Hosted by Kiki at ‘In It’s Time‘ on the third Wednesday of each month. This monthly link-up is a place for bloggers to share and write on a fun, light-hearted (or possibly heavy-hearted) topics.

While Kiki has decided to discontinue hosting the linkup; I like the concept, so will be using a list of blog post prompts to continue the tradition.

This month’s prompt is: If you had a personal assistant who would do your most dreaded tasks, which items from your to-do list would you assign out?

Number one thing; would be making phone calls for doctor’s appointments, service stuff, and whatever else. I hate talking on the phone. My cell phone is rarely used for this purpose, I could probably get away with using a tablet instead of a phone if it weren’t for texting.

Number two would be grocery shopping. Dragging all 3 kids out to the store is always exhausting and incredibly stressful. Not to mention; if it was someone else; they wouldn’t have the impulse buy problem that grocery store’s prey upon. There would be a list, and it would be followed precisely. Maybe I should sign up for one of those services, haha.

Number three would be cleaning. I think this one would be more of a maid thing than a personal assistant; but man it would make my life easier. Even if it was just the big deep cleaning things.
I do want to get Jam involved in the housekeeping though; so he doesn’t end up useless like Ry and I are.

But again, I *AM* a stay at home mom; and all of these things are part of the ‘job’ description; so maybe I should woman up and just do them without complaint. (along with the miriad of other things I need to do!)

What would you hand off to a helper if you could?

A Military Spouse stationed in the middle of nowhere. Emma loves to cook for her family (while dodging dirty dishes). She is blessed to be a stay at home mom with 3 kiddos. She is passionate about cloth diapering, car seat safety, breastfeeding, homeschooling, frugal living, babywearing, and her Christian faith. More Molly Messy than Susie Homemaker, she has been trying to improve her housekeeping and related skills.
