Wild Women Wednesday is a monthly interview with amazing military mama bloggers. The goal is to connect more with the blogosphere and get to know more of my ‘coworkers’. Really build *my* community.
Meet Pamela and her husband write about their military lifestyle on their blog The Coastie Couple. They share all about their adventures from coast to coast. They are currently enjoying their newest adventure – raising a baby boy.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Starting in second grade, I decided that I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. Years later, I followed through on that dream.
What is your favorite part of military life? Your least favorite?
My favorite part is seeing new places and meeting new people. The lifestyle has opened up a lot of adventures for us as a family.
My least favorite part is being miles away from family and having to start over in each new location.
Can you describe your experiences with food allergies?
I don’t currently have any allergies but I have a lot of experience with them due to my role as a teacher. I’ve seen a wide range of allergies in the classroom.
Looking at your whole life, what are three areas or activities in which you wish you were spending more of your time?
I would love to spend more time pursuing my many hobbies, including writing and crafting. I would also like to travel more.
What was the best compliment you received?
Some of the best compliments I have received were from parents of the students I teach. I love hearing how I’ve helped make a difference in a child’s life.
What is the most popular post on your blog? Is it one of your favorites?
Due to the recent birth of our son, I haven’t looked at my analytics in a while. I believe the most popular post is the one where I revealed our pregnancy.
Where do you stand regarding holistic healthcare providers and vaccines?
I have explored the topics some.
I try to avoid allopathic medicine when I can, but there are times when it has been necessary.
Who was your favorite teacher in school and how did s/he impact you?
I feel like each of my teachers impacted me in a different way.
The bad ones showed me who I didn’t want to be as a teacher while the good ones led me to pursue my dream of being a teacher even more.
What is your ‘kids TV show’ favorite?
Our little one was just born so he doesn’t have a favorite yet. My nephew loves Paw Patrol, Frozen, and Wall-E though.
If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go?
I would go to Ireland. They have castles, beer, beautiful Abbeys and Cathedrals, breath taking shorelines, and so much more. It looks gorgeous from the pictures I’ve seen.
Thank you so much for your time in answering my questions Pamela! Hopefully your enjoyed the process as much as I did.
Enjoy your new squish and attempt to cherish the new life you have found yourself a part of <3
